Located in Downtown Richmond's Historic Shockoe Slip, Toad's Place is within walking distance of dozens of downtown apartments, condominiums, parking decks, attractions, night clubs, and restaurants.
Concertgoers enter Toad's Place through our main entrance located on the Canal Walk. Richmond's Canal Walk also serves as the outdoor dining patio for our restaurant Highwater, a place to meet friends or a catch a smoke break. Toad's Place takes pride in being a non-smoking building, but provides a the patio on the canal, as well as a deck located on the mezzanine level.
The Room
A Perfect Setting
After having dinner in Highwater, patrons can pick up their tickets at the box office and enter the venue's main floor where they can grab a drink and a spot in front of the stage.
Our main floor is large enough to hold several hundred people, but it creates a great atmosphere for medium-sized or smaller-shows. This has provided Toad's Place with the opportunity to host many diverse genres.
The Mezzanine level offers a bird's-eye view of the stage, as well as more room to spread out. A perk for patrons who don't like to stand in front of the stage or dance around on the main floor with the music. The Mezzanine Bar keeps the upstairs crowd refreshed and the VIP's happy.
